Max is a fine artist and portrait painter based in Shropshire, has been captivated by portraiture from a young age. The human face, with its unique capacity for character and communication, serves as a constant inspiration for his imagination. Max completed his studies at Charles Cecil Studios in Italy from 2008 to 2011. Subsequently, he carried out portrait commissions in oil and charcoal, as well as engaged in still life paintings, from his London Studio. He has recently relocated to his new studio in Shropshire.
Max’s paintings have gathered praise across the globe. Recent awards and exhibitions include the Young artist award @ Art for youth exhibition , Mall galleries 2021), Unison art award at the pastel society 2020.

Exhibition statement
My passion lies in painting from life, where I am captivated by the organic process of translating my immediate reality onto canvas. This enthusiasm is complemented by a profound curiosity about texture, layers, and edges. I am constantly exploring innovative methods to convey the tactile and characterful aspects of what I see through the medium of paint.
Max has most notably exhibited with The Pastel Society at Mall Galleries where he won the
Unison colour young artist award and The Chelsea arts society where he won the Green and
Stone art prize.
At The Royal Society of Portrait Artists at Cork Street Galleries, he was awarded runner up
prize from the Tiranti group. Max’s portrait of the Caudwell Family was also honoured by an
unveiling and hanging at Blenheim Palace.
